The XX - Together -

I know to be there
When and where, I'll be there
You know what's to be said
We said out loud, we never said

My premonition of the world comes to me
A sun in your hands from the middle life
Says I'm alright

You said you don't have to speak
I can hear you
I can feel all the things you've ever felt before
I said it's been a long time
Since someone looked at me that way
It's like you knew me
And all the things I couldn't say

Together, to be
Together and be
Together, to be
Together and be
Together, to be
Together and be
Together, to be
Together and be

Together, to be
Together and be
Together, to be
Together and be
Together, to be
Together and be
Together, to be
Together and be

Watch Over You - Alter Bridge

Leaves are on the ground
Fall has come
Blue skies turning grey
Like my love

I tried to carry you
And make you whole
But it was never enough
I must go

And who is gonna save you
When I'm gone?
And who'll watch over you
When I'm gone?

You say you care for me
But hide it well
How can you love someone
And not yourself?

And who is gonna save you
When I'm gone?
And who'll watch over you
When I'm gone?

And when I'm gone
Who will break your fall?
Who will you blame?
I can't go on

Let you lose it all
It's more than I can take

Who'll ease your pain?
Ease your pain

And who is gonna save you
When I'm gone?
And who'll watch over you
And I will give you strength

When you're not strong
Who'll watch over you
When I'm gone away?

Snow is on the ground
Winters come
You long to hear my voice
But I'm long gone

The male version of this song is very good for Doggett POV

The Ex-Factor - Jarrod Lawson

It could all be so simple
But you'd rather make it hard

Loving you is like a battle
And we both end up with scars

Tell me, who I have to be
To get some reciprocity

No one loves you more than me
And no one ever will

Is this just a silly game
That forces you to act this way?
Forces you to scream my name
Then pretend that you can't stay

Tell me, who I have to be
To get some reciprocity
No one loves you more than me
And no one ever will

No matter how I think we grow
You always seem to let me know
It ain't workin', It ain't workin' (No, it ain't workin')
And when I try to walk away
You'd hurt yourself to make me stay

This is crazy, this is crazy (This is crazy, uh-huh!)

I keep letting you back in
How can I explain myself?
As painful as this thing has been
I just can't be with no one else

See I know what we've got to do
You let go, and I'll let go too
'Cause no one's hurt me more than you
And no one ever will

No matter how I think we grow
You always seem to let me know
It ain't workin', It ain't workin' (It ain't workin')
And when I try to walk away
You'd hurt yourself to make me stay
This is crazy, this is crazy

Care for me, care for me!
I know you care for me!
There for me, there for me!
Said you'd be there for me!

Cry for me, cry for me!
You said you'd die for me!
Give to me, give to me!
Why won't you live for me?!

Care for me, care for me!
You said you care for me!
There for me, there for me!
Said you'd be there for me!

Cry for me, cry for me!
You said you'd die for me!
Give to me, give to me!
Why won't you live for me?!

Give to me, give to me!
Why won't you live for me?!
Cry for me, cry for me!
You said you'd die for me!

Do you know what's so awesome about DSR and music? So many songs are about longing for someone, wanting to be with someone you cannot, and unrequited love! So many DSRy songs!

I was thinking the same thing! I think unrequited love has got to be the most romantic and common type of love song as it adds so much drama and angst!

It's funny because last night I was playing some music and Alanis Morrisette's Uninvited came on and James said it sounded like it should be in a vampire film because it is so intense....I started to tell him it was done twice for a DSR vid, one of which is one of the best DSR vids of all time in my opinion and he said "I knew you were gonna say this song was a DSR vid song!" I then showed him the vid and he agreed it was one of the best he had seen.

We talk about songs all the time and James is always saying "this is a DSR song", as am I - and the other day james said "Every song is a DSR song!"

I know for sure since I saw Doggett and DSR when I hear certain songs I think of them and this has been a consistent habit since the start, no matter what I am fangirling, Doggett/XF or not, my mind is always on DSR, which is why when I did Body Balance, drove my car, saw an MTV vid -my mind would wonder to DSR so much if there was a fitting song...and when I listen to the radio-as with the above song, Ex Factor, I was just listening to Jazz FM having breakfast yesterday morning and I immediately rushed over to the PC to add it to the DSR soundtrack here! It's always on my mind!

Was listening to a Body Balance playlist and I have never heard this song before but it instantly reminded me of Doggett and Scully:

Leona Lewis - I See You

I see you
I see you

Walking through a dream, I see you
My light in darkness, breathing hope of new life
Now I live through you and you through me, enchanting
I pray in my heart that this dream never ends

I see me through your eyes
Breathing new life, flying high

Your love shines the way into paradise
So I offer my life as a sacrifice
I live through your love

You teach me how to see all that's beautiful

My senses touch a world I never pictured
Now I give my hope to you, I surrender
I pray in my heart that this world never ends

I see me through your eyes
Breathing new life, flying high
Your love shines the way into paradise
So I offer my life, I offer my love, for you

When my heart was never open
(And my spirit never free)
To the world that you have shown me

But my eyes could not envision
All the colors of love and of life evermore

Evermore
(I see me through your eyes)
I see me through your eyes

(Living new life flying high)
Flying high

Your love shines the way into paradise
So I offer my life as a sacrifice

And live through your love
And live through your life
I see you
I see you
